Riding ring, a sporting game of skill on horseback is a particularly east of the Elbe in recent years revived tradition which is practiced especially in the context of home festivities.
The so-called ring riding is in many regions of an old tradition. It has now again become an integral part of social life in the region. It is originally not only a competition (the jump rings with a lance), but also a pastime with a high entertainment value for the interested audience. In German regions, including East elbe country, this tradition at numerous clubs and festivals is exercised.

In pursuit of its kind and region to region is all the rings (piercing) of a suspended ring together. Whether by hand, or the staff of the branch, standing or sitting on the horse, the riding ring in each case requires horsemanship and skill.

East of the Elbe, this old tradition in Last and Beilrode exercised annually as part of the festival and is home to both the increasing number of players involved and in the number of spectators a great response.
